The T-CO is a 5-day mountain bike enduro-style trip developed around high country adventure, where we’re focused on combining incredible stages and amazing rides every day. Built across five days of riding, we’ll send you on routes that will blow your mind with top-to-bottom stages that will leave you high-fiving everyone you see. We’ll include bucket-list trails that regularly make top-10 lists, but also off-the-radar trails you’d never even find on your own. We’ve spent the last 10+ years exploring, building, maintaining and guiding the best trails across Colorado, and we’re using our expertise to put together the ultimate high alpine enduro trip.

ABOUT THE TRANS CO
Well be kicking things off in ’27 with our home base split between Salida and Crested Butte, and we plan to change locations each year thereafter. We’ll spend two days riding in the general Salida area before heading over Monarch Pass to Crested Butte for the last three days. Each year we’ll have both a Summer and Fall edition: for 2027, we’re looking at late July / early August and late September, but stay tuned for updates.
Is it a race? Not exactly. We absolutely will have a timing aspect included, as we know how much fun it is to compete against your buddies. We don’t have the resources to meet the necessary requirements with the associated US government agencies- and we’ve found that most people have more fun riding vs racing anyways- so the Trans CO Enduro will be “rally style”, which means a multi-day enduro race in a more relaxed (and more fun) fully-supported trip. Essentially, you’ll get huge rides in the Colorado backcountry with 3-5 stages each day, and an overall itinerary that will blow your mind and challenge the best riders. The T-CO is inspired by other awesome events like the Stone King Rally, Trans BC and the Trans Cascadia, so be assured that you’re getting one of the best experiences on a bike in North America.
What can you expect from the Trans Colorado Enduro? Big high-country adventure rides, long stages, epic views, alpine singletrack and memories to last a lifetime. A relatively small group with only 20-25 riders per “event”. We’ll mix in a bunch of shuttle drops and maybe even a lift ride or two. What do we expect from you? Ideally you’re an advanced level mountain biker who can handle big rides (think ~25 miles each day with 3-4k’ of climbing and 5-6k’ of rowdy descending per day) with 10-20 minute descents, and can comfortably ride black-level terrain. Our tech isn’t quite BC-level rowdy, but these are proper rides with long, physical downhills!
What Will Be Included?
LODGING
6 nights of double-occupancy lodging in nice hotels, split between multiple locations, with the option to upgrade to your own room so you can sleep comfortably every night of the trip.
Timing / Competition
You’ll get 3-5 stages of full-on, legit enduro-style stages every day for five days. Want to compete against your buddies? We’ve got that taken care of too!
Transportation
We include airport pickup/dropoff (from Gunnison for 2027), plus all shuttles and transportation during the event.
Food
Three meals a day including breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus supported aid station food and proper ride nutrition. Oh yeah, post-ride beers too!
Ride Support
Each day we’ll have an aid station set up (when possible) with nutrition, snacks and hydration, and will also have multiple support crew on trail with you to help with issues that may arise. You’ll have each day’s GPX/course file and the route will be clearly marked so there are no navigational issues. We’ll have mechanics on call if things get serious, and we have everything you need for a killer 5 days of riding.

Pro photographers to document the race, media coverage, and sponsor swag… we leave no stone unturned to make sure your race week is truly epic!

The Trans CO Enduro is owned and operated by Chasing Epic Mountain Bike Adventures, we’ve been guiding groups all over Colorado (and the western US) for 10+ years, and we’re using our experience and expertise to put together a killer enduro-style trip for serious rippers.
This multi-day enduro is an idea Steve came up with as a passion project after racing the Trans BC: the goal is to create a multi-day event that is both challenging and incredibly fun, while providing an amazing backcountry-focused experience on some of the best trails in North America. This is not to be taken lightly, but we promise your hard work will be handsomely rewarded with one of the best weeks of your life. Bring your A-game, this is going to be a tough but awesome week of riding epic trails in the CO high-country!
We operate with the appropriate US Forest Service and BLM event permits required each year through our guiding partners, Colorado Backcountry. Each day’s ride will have guide support throughout every stage.
